The start and development of the journalist<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Marc Lamont Hill was born in the early winter of 1978 in Philadelphia. This is where he grew up, attended school and went to summer camp, just like most of his peers. During that time, he met a dark-skinned boy who was unmatched on the basketball court. The kids quickly became friends, and this bond was only broken by the tragic death of the legendary American basketball player Kobe Bryant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his happy youth, the Philadelphian enjoyed spending his free time actively. As a result of his knack for getting into trouble, he was expelled from one of the best educational institutions in the United States, Morehouse College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, he transferred to Temple University, where he initially earned a bachelor’s degree, followed by a master’s degree and a Ph.D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing his studies at the aforementioned institution, he taught urban education at several universities and even at the college from which he had once been expelled due to poor attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 2000s, Marc also began to take an interest in the field of television journalism. Starting in 2007, he began to make his first steps in this area by working in the Fox News editorial office. As a political commentator, he collaborated with such popular TV and radio companies as CNN, MSNBC and Court TV over the next couple of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the summer of 2010, the famous American television journalist Ed Gordon left the media project called Our World with Black Enterprise<\/em>, and the native of our city was invited to replace him. He successfully handled this job and worked for several years as the host of the talk show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the spring of 2012, he joined the Huffington Post. He left it nine years later for a position as a speaker on Al Jazeera English. At the same time, Hill also managed to host a primetime program on the Black News Channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even before starting his professional television career, the famous host often publicly addressed society, pointing out the downsides of Americans. The Philadelphian is an ardent activist and fighter for human rights and freedoms. He has repeatedly challenged any demonstration of racism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early twenty-first century, he joined an American public organization called My5th. As part of this organization, Hill was actively involved in the development of youth leisure by organizing events and lectures aimed at improving reading skills among uneducated citizens, particularly those in his hometown of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also works with a project from the American Civil Liberties Union, focusing on informing teenagers about the consequences of drug use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to Marc’s activism, the popular American magazine Ebony recognized the Philadelphia native as one of the thirty best black leaders in the United States at the age of thirty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there were negative moments in his activism history, such as the scandal following his speech at a United Nations event regarding the “Israeli issue.” In 2018, Marc was even fired from CNN because of a phrase that was perceived as anti-Semitic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
